ktvu's brian flores is joining us live in the sunset district with the details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. we're live here at the 1600 block of sloat boulevard. still a very active scene here as several san francisco police officers are here investigating that home-invasion robbery that happened earlier this morning. we just got done talking with the resident of the house here. according to san francisco police and the resident we talked to, this robbery happened at around 2:00, 3:00 this morning. from what we understand, the father was watching tv in the home while his wife was getting ready for work when three masked robbers entered the home through a side window. the residents said they were armed and tied up with electrical tape. they say the men were there for about an hour as they ransacked the home. they took about $500 in cash along with purses and other belongings. the resident said he told the robbers he didn't have anything else after then they left. the family was able to escape and finally called police about an hour later. i asked if h

i'm brian flores. dave clark is off. it's tuesday, december 25th. >>> ktvu was first on the scene of a south bay fryer that through to -- fire that grew to three alarms. janine de la vega is live with more. >> reporter: firefighters are on the scene mopping up. they are inside this commercial building putting out hot spots. this is an industrial area close to the los gatos border. it's not near residential homes. let's go to video. this was taken earlier this morning, where you can see flames shooting up from the roof as high as 15 feet in the air. two aerial ladders were used to spray water on the flames. firefighters believe no one was inside. but it appears two businesses were run out of the building with one suffering the brunt of the damage. >> i did a lap around the building and it looks like the back half of the building here is burned completely. the roof is gone. all of the property inside is gone, too. it looked like it was some sort of manufacturing, maybe a battery, electric-type vehicle operation. not sure a
